Garden scene: Hollyhocks, nasturtiums, blueberries. After: I didn't plant these hollyhocks, but I did spend hours clearing them of morning glory. The logs I used to enclose the Berry Stockade were left by a tree crew who cleaned up limbs from a snow-related emergency involving one of the trees on our property. In the front yard, I have a stumpery planted with succulents; that piece of wood came from another tree that caused a different emergency by falling on the house. All told, we've removed three trees (a cherry, a willow, and a conifer) in the time we've lived here. Please, invest in the services of a licensed arborist if you have large trees on your property!
